M.S.4 WAV exported is not being accepted in digital distribution website

• Sep 7, 2023 - 11:24

Hello, I exported WAV files of my compositions from M.S.4 (using the new orchestral plugings - muse sounds - and I tried to upload them to a digital distribution website (DistroKid) among other tracks.
The exported MuseScore WAV files FAILED to upload every time and they always go unsuccessful, but the other tracks (which are not exported from M.S are uploaded successfully).
I should also mention that the WAV files are 44.1 kHz as the digital distribution website prefers, and less than 1 GB.
Can you help me detect the problem?
Thanks

Presumably these WAV files play normally for you? Have you tried exporting as FLAC format instead? I think you should be talking to DistroKid support and not to us here at musescore.org.

Read DistroKid's article about iOS "Why do my files have zero bytes":
https://support.distrokid.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500006315162

Is that article relevant to you? If so, read this bit at the end of the article:
"Once you have selected your audio file, you should be good to go! If you are experiencing issues, make sure you are storing your files locally on your iOS device instead of in iCloud. The DistroKid upload form does not support cloud uploading at this time, so you will need to upload files directly from your iOS device. "
