Note input via computer keyboard - "A" doesn't work as expected.

When I input notes via computer keyboard the letter "A" doesn't result in a note being input, but instead the cursor is moved back to the first note of the current bar. The only workaround is entering a different note and shifting it to being an A via the "up"/"down" keys, and this is VERY annoying.
