In Musescore 4 note input for A does not work
When putting notes in, all letters work just fine (B, C, D, E, F, G), but A doesn't work. The cursor jumps back to the start of the measure. I've already removed the shortcut and put it back in, to no avail. (My A-key works just fine in all other programs, including Musescore 3).
What can I do to get the A-input working as it is supposed to?

Works for me
sounds as if shortcut "A" is assigned to something else....
To check, export the shortcuts from Edit - Preferences - Shortcuts to an .xml file, open this file with a plain text editor (like Notepad) and search for
<seq>A</seq>
In my instance this shortcut is only assigned to note-a and fret-0 and I can enter note a.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I did check the preferences list and even changed the shortcut for fret-0, making sure that A was solely reserved for note a. I also removed and re-entered the shortcut there. Alas, the problem still persists.
Same here. When entering A it jumps to the beginning of the bar, and also jumps up to the top staff (I'm doing a three part score.) According to settings/shortcuts the A key is not already assigned to something else.
MacOS 12.6, Swedish keyboard
Tried resetting to factory settings, did not work.

Reset settings worked for me. I believe it started after using keyboard note input for Drums.
I have the same problem on my Mac. I found a workaround: Shift + A. But it is still very annoying.
Same here, Shift+A works fine
Removing the shortcut for: "Enter TAB: fret 0" to just 0 and not "A" worked for me.
