How can I add pedal release symbol?
I want to add these ^ marks in between pedal lines but when I found a way, they told me to insert several pedal lines with angled hooks one by one. I'd like to keep one long pedal line without breaking it in the middle, while also marking the pedal release with ^ marks. I'm sure there is a way, may I ask what it is?

It is just separate pedal lines meeting at the _/ resp. \_
In the lines pallet you should find this
You may have to click on the more button and move it into the pallet before you can use it. Rather than adding ^ i.e. release and depress you actually need to add a line that starts with a down slope slash (meaning depress the pedal) continuing with a horizontal line (meaning hold the pedal down) and ending with an upslope (meaning release the pedal). Two of those next two each other look like this.
which I think is what you are trying to achieve.

Oh really? I thought there would be a more comfortable way, but that was the only way XD tysm

What is so uncomfortable about it? You need to specify the start and finish point otherwise Musescore doesn't know where to put the marking. Click on the first note, shift + click on the last note, click on the line in the pallet. Done.
I guess you were expecting click on first note, click on ^ in the palette, click on last note, click on ^ in the palette. 4 clicks instead of 3 including 2 visits to he palette and back to the score instead of just one and you end up with an odd / at the start and an odd \ at the end. Or were you anticipating the upcoming Musescore telepathy addon where Musescore just "does what I want" without being told? :-)

Yes, because 2 angled hooks side-by-side create one ^ mark:
Also, the start and the end can be shown as a vertical line (no angle).
