Mac Version 4.3 Broken?
Dear All,
Love MS4, thanks, but am having issues. I'm using 4.3 on a Macbook Air (running OS Ventura, 13.1), and the last two versions seem really buggy compared to 4.0 (or is it just me?).
I'm always using a Symphony Orchestra score (± custom instruments) and observe the following:
(a) Staccato (esp. wind instruments) often 'silences' the note completely on playback (even with quavers, so not because 'fast').
(b) French Horn (F), Dynamics-Transition issue. Playback introduces a random 'shadow' note if there is a sharp (not crescendo) increase from p to mf (extra note at the new mf). This only occurs when the p and mf notes are 'back-to-back'. If there is a short rest between, it is not an issue.
(c) Cosmetic (but disconcerting): click-selecting a single bar on a single instrument highlights ALL the instruments for the same bar.
Anyone else having issues?
Thanks

Version 4.3? Really??
This is the latest version which I see on my MS4, in Help > About MuseScore:
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64,
MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.1.1-232071203, revision: e4d1ddf

I was decaffeinated, clearly. It was the 3rd install, but is 4.1.1. as you suspected.
Sorry for that.

No worries, and thanks for the clarification.
Unfortunately a) I'm not a Mac expert, and b) I am not yet into MS4 sounds in any serious way.
Let's hope for some user with relevant experience to drop by!
