Thank you XiaoMigros and Frederick Biddix!
The plugin seems to udpate and save automatically, users should ensure a newly created project scorefile is saved in a directory with WRITE permission. edit: after some more test, seems I was wrong, the dir permission does not matter, current project always uses /user/[name]/appdata/local/temp (I incorrectly tested by running parallel musescore 3 and musescore 3 nightly on the same machine, that may have caused unwanted repeat file overwriting)

thats why you should test it with musescore portable and musescore (dev) instead

I never really had an issue running 2 instances of MuseLab on Musescore portable,
but tbf I wasn't the one designing and testing the plugin, which I'm very thankful you did.

Thanks. @Frederick Biddix Your Piano concerto no. 4 is cool, I also like the 1st movement score on .com (?by intentional audio sync?) does not auto scroll on play. Never found auto scroll on .com useful.
This is Awesome! Works with MS4?

Not yet, API is missing too many features

You could always use shared accounts, but this doesn’t update live and has the danger of conflicting scores.
How do you install it? All I've been able to do is make the installer say:

If the installer isn't working for you, you can follow the manual install like for other plugins.
Out of curiosity, what operating system are you on? Maybe there's an issue with our installers

Does it not work when you have MU4 installed or something?!
1/2/2024 Update: Muselab is not yet compatible with Musescore 4.
There could be two versions. One for 4 and one for 3.
In reply to There could be a version for… by Asher S.
As mentioned in multiple places, MuseLab doesn't work with MuseScore 4 for reasons outside of our control.

So is it not possible to make two versions? Is it not possible to adapt the original for MU4?
In reply to So is it not possible to… by Asher S.
Making 2 versions is possible. Making a version that works in MU4 is not.

Why doesn’t this work? Is it not possible to make plugins of this kind for Musescore 4? I definitely have seen plugins for new windows (like the mixer or properties panel), most notably one that adds wordle so you can play it while writing music 😂
In reply to Why doesn’t this work? Is it… by Asher S.
the mixer and properties panel are built in parts of musescore, not plugins. musescore 4 is missing the ability to read and write files, the ability to connect to the internet, and many other smaller things that are either different or broken.

I meant that it was possible to make plugins that made new panels such as those. Okay. I see. I still have MU3 (and actually I have all 4 versions င:), so as soon as I figure out the issue, this will be fine. Does it work with 3.7 (evolution)?
In reply to I meant that it was possible… by Asher S.
yes
In reply to yes by XiaoMigros
So if I had a MU4 file and wanted to collaborate on it, I could do that? Great! Now I’ve got to figure out how to install 3.7 AND MuseLab haha

assuming 3.7 opens it, yes
alternatively export to musicxml and reimport

Yes, currently 3.7 opens MU4 files.

btw I don’t know anything about plug-ins lol not even how to install them apparently…
I was able to figure it out. Thanks.
Testing it, when I edit many different things (like trying to slur, dot a non-quarter note, etc.) I get this (image below) in the chat, and nothing happens.
It also happens whenever I select a note.

Hey, when possible, if it does that, could you click on the send feedback button?
(That sense is a log of what errors occured) I'm not too sure what could've caused that, so having that data would be extremely helpful
