Voice Plugins
Has anyone tried the Soap Voice Cleaner plugin? Is it worth $47 compared to other voice plugins?
Thx!

I have never seen a charge for a plugin before, they are supplied free by community members, so I would be very wary about paying for one. What does the plugin do? Is it listed in the Musescore plugins directory?

(I can't see it in the list but maybe it goes by another name.)

The OP is probably taking about a VST rather than a plugin

Nope, it's a plug-in. But my mistake: it's for Audacity and probably not for MuseScore. Which makes sense. They're all lumped together on MuseHub, and I got my wires crossed. Sorry!

So it is not a plugin in the sense MuseScore uses that term

Some plugins are cross-platform. A lot of the Audacity plugins, I believe, are actual recordings of live instruments that filter/adjust one or more in-tool instruments. Some are only for playback.

These are not plugins in the sense of MuseScore.
The term "plug-in", when used in MuseScore Studio, has nothing to do with sounds at all, at all. Instead, it refers to the "macro language" that users can use to personalize the application. Similar to Visual Basic for Windows as used in the Microsoft Office suite.
You probably want to post this question in the Playback sub-forum, which is about VSTs and other kinds of sounds.

I think an Audacity (or a full DAW) forum is where I need to ask my question. Playback in MuseScore is not where I want to work on vocals--except to create a basic roadmap using a place-holder instrument.
Thx for clarifying!
