Guitar not making sound

For some reason, the electric guitar has fully stopped making sound for me. This is an issue in every single score, and no matter how much i try to fix it (using the mixer), nothing seems to help. it started when i downloaded and opened a file that happened to be corrupt. Help, please :DDD I'm desperate at this point
