Problem importing midi files
Hi,
I don't know why when exporting midi files of instruments like trumpets and trombones, Musescore makes a Piano staff of both instruments and I can't write the score properly.
How could I fix this?
I'm exporting the tracks with logic Pro X, maybe I need to change a preference in my DAW or something like that?
I have attached an image of the problem on Musescore.
I'd be very grateful if someone could help me
Thanks,
Adrian

I get this a lot. Hope someone has a better answer than open a new instrument and copy paste then delete the old, broken one.

MIDI was never designed as a music notation format, and it leaves a lot to be desired. Generally speaking it will be faster to just re-enter the music normally than attempt to manually convert the raw data into readable notation. But anyhow, there isnm't much anyone can tell from just a picture. If you attach the actual MIDI file someone may be able to identify why it is being interpreted as piano. Could be something in how the file is set up. But anyhow, it's simply enough to just add a new trumpet instrument to the score and copy&paste into it.
