notation difficulties within a measure

Hi,
I cannot figure out how to create notation when notes of different lengths begin at the same beat in a measure. MuseScore wants to only have one note of any duration beginning from the same beat. See the circled measures in the accompanying file (some are repeat measures so there's really only four measures that are causing me problems; but it's all the same issue). Thanks in advance for the help!
