Convolution environments

• Nov 24, 2023 - 04:41

The development of Muse Sounds has produced some very pleasant sounding virtual instruments - though some do have snags, so hopefully either the problems will be solved/reduced, or those removed from the catalogue.

Some instruments, such as church organs, are closely linked to their environments. It is now becoming more common for such virtual instruments to be coupled with convolution data, so that the effect of the instrument being played in different virtual environments can be simulated. Clearly in practice large instruments are not normally moved between different physical environments - even though it might sometimes be possible or happen.

Are there any plans in the development of MuseScore to provide such convolution based simulated environments which can be applied to any virtual instrument sounds?
