How to delete my "rit." !!
Newbie but doing great so far but I am baffled as to how to delete this tempo marking. Adding was easy, highlighted the note and clicked on "rit" but getting the beast gone is proving difficult for my little pea brain!! Musescore 4 btw thanks richard

Select it and press Del
If you find it impossible to select the rit. element, try putting MuseScore into Continuous View (horizontal).
By default MuseScore shows a score in Page View, and sometimes an element can get moved beyond the page boundary. This makes it impossible to select the element with the mouse.

I will try again but when I left clicked it nothing responded when I right clicked it gave me three general options that were unrelated and where the same no matter where I clicked on the score

I had of course tried everything before I posted my dilemma
It wouldn’t be a big deal but it slows down my playback after the rit
I have not tried deleting that measure that the tit sits on …….

If @DanielR's suggestion of Continuous View doesn't help, please attach the score, and mention the location of the "rit.".

Solved By a quirk of circumstances I discovered that the programmme was actually frozen! so I restarted and because of the built in auto save feature I am back and running. thanks again everyone.
