MuseScore 4.1.1 won't open any more

MuseScore 4.1.1 suddenly won't open.
Mac OS 14-Sonoma, 2020 M1 Macbook Pro.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it repeatedly, and rebooted (both before and after) to no avail. I've loved the program, but it is useless if it won't load. I have not consciously changed anything. I make sure it is the only program running. Nothing has helped.

Ideas?
