Pick up bar note value
Can anybody instruct me how to create a pick-bar at the start of a piece in 4/4 with a quaver?
The piece is in 'C' common time, i.e. nominal bar value is 4/4, and I need to set the actual value to 0.5/4, but can only set the actual value to 1/4.

It seems to be a math problem :-).
0.5/4 is the same as 1/8. So change your pickup bar to the actual value 1/8 in the bar properties.
