Musescore Sound

Sound sounds horrible and scratchy, and does not always correspond to the actual note. I have tried a few different setting to fix it. All the instruments sound like it.

If I understand correctly, your audio is clipping due to several instruments playing loud dynamics.
Lowering the master volume in the mixer should fix.

  1. View the mixer. Press F10 if you do not see it.
  2. Scroll to the right until you see the master volume.
  3. Adjust the master volume until the meter peaks around 0 units during the loudest parts in the score.
