The notes are not being tied correctly
When I tie 2 dotted minims it turns into a dotted semibreve (Im in 6/8)

Please attach your score (.mscz file). It's hard to comment without the actual score and "Steps to reproduce".
I don't think that you are in 6/8 - this looks to me more like 6/4. And the rests and notes in the first measure don't add up to a sensible total for Voice 1.

If you are really writing in 6/8, then you should be using dotted crotchets (not dotted minims):
