lyric sustain lines thru barlines?
When entering lyrics, I don't seem to be able to get the sustain lines for the lyrics to cross the bar line. I.e. for a lyric/note that is held through the bar line.
Then when trying to squish bars to rectify problem creates worse problems with notes in the measure not expanding or contracting with the bar, I.e. the bar grows but then all the notes in the bar get squished on one side leaving most of the bar empty.

Go to the first note of measure 25;
AltGr + Spacebar (inserts a space) then AltGr + underscore.

Can you post the score you are having problems with and step by step instructions to reproduce the problem you are seeing?
Normally melisma extender lines are drawn under as many notes you hit "_" for. However, the do *not* currently continue onto another system if you reach the end of a line. A limitation of the current implementation. I am "somewhat hopeful" it might be addressed before the release of 2.0, but it's by no means certain. The link given above is to the issue filed for this bug.
