MuseScore 4.2
While MuseScore 4.2 has many attractive features, things happen that drive me squirrely. I am constantly losing
previously completed work, and I can't find it again. Often the score becomes enormous, which forces me to revert to "Factory Settings" and then I lose all my former settings. HELP!!!!

Sounds like you are saving to the cloud and using Continuous view. Both can have problems in 4.2. I wouldn't use either until things are straightened out.
