adjustment: measure size / distance between notes / distance between note and rest

question 3.png
so here's the thing.
score on top is musescore 4 (originally created in 3),
and below is the reference score that i want to replicate the format.
as you can see, total length for 4 bars between the reference and musescore has big difference.
i am in search of replicating the format, not just this particular score,
but for all the score i will be making in the future as well.
right now where i am stuck is circled in 3 points.

  1. left: distance between notes. i've already messed parameters in styles - measure tab. virtually all related parameters are set to zero, and i still can't seem to perfectly replicate the distance. i am thinking it might be something with setting the measure size but i am not sure.

  2. center (and right): distance between rest and a note. in case of right circle it would be distance between a note and a rest. like i said, i've tried messing up all the options i could find but i can't seem to replicate the distance. i thought it might be the size of the chord symbol, but apparently it didn't do much.

  3. right: it's not just the distance between notes, but as you can see, it is the whole measure size. i can't seem to find a way to shrink the measure like so.

any help?

Open the Properties tab. Select the measure. Select "Appearance". Adjust the measure width. This makes the measure shorter.
