Activate the playback of all staves of the score in the part excerpt - MuseScore 4
Unfortunately, all other staves are muted in the MS4 part excerpts and cannot be activated. I, for example, need this setting to be able to play the notes of the part excerpt with my own instrument while being able to hear other staves from the score. In the mixer, I set the playback of the part excerpt to mute and other staves from the score to audible. I think it should be left to the user to decide which staves should be audible in the part excerpts. Please make it possible to play back all existing staves in the score in the part excerpts (as in MS3).

The user can decide.
In the mixer mute the part you want to play.
Open the parts tab. For each part you want to hear but not see do this. Click the down arrow next to the eye. Close the eye that opens below. The part disappears but you will still hear playback.

thank you for your answer and explanation.
You are right, in MuseScore 4 you can hide all unneeded staves in the score. Unfortunately, this is very complicated because I have to hide 8 to 10 staves for every score I create.
We have a nice saying
"Why make it easy when you can make it complicated"
For me, this was better solved in MuseScore 3 because I could set the playback of the desired staves directly in the part excerpt.

But you still have to change a setting in each part. One at a time. MU4 just does this in a different place. Much like everything else.
