suddenly corrupted file - original file and autosave showing as 0 bytes

• Jan 15, 2024 - 00:14

Hello. I was working on the score (if it's even possible to open) when it crashed. Upon attempting to open the autosave, I receive this message:

Error=XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT ErrorID=13 (0xd) Line number=0

I've shown hidden files and was able to find a number of files. I've attached those as well. Please let me know if there's anything you can do to help support, I lost about 6 hours of work with this. Luckily, I had saved another version of this score earlier, so I have that version ("orm solo draft") as well which is not corrupted. I have attached that for reference. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

This is embarrassing, I seem to have answered my own question by posting this. Upon downloading the score I just posted, I renamed it and it opened just fine. When I uploaded it, it read as an uncompressed musescore zip file.

Is there an issue with the score that will repeat again? How can I prevent this from happening?
