Cracking sounds and glitches.

When using musescore v.4.2 I have cracking sounds and awful glitching when listening/editing to files.
I have tried anything and I cant fix it. Everything was fine when I used it a few months back. But for some reason everything I listen to is pitched, faster than it should be and just skips notes... please help
