Make top (name) bar of bottom panel slightly thinner for small screens

The bottom panel has a lot of margin above and below text in the top bar, where one can click to switch between the various tabs. This margin could be reduced by, say, 30% on either side in order to give some room to the score (is that main work area called the arrange? or is that a DAW thing?), which would be particularly useful for those of us that work on a standard laptop, with a fairly limited screen size.
