4 part voice only
So I am recreating some older print music into more easily readable format. This is 4 part men (TTBB), but it would work for any combination. I want to have each part it's own color. Similar to this:
T1 - Black
T2 - Red
B1 - Green
B2 - Blue
Is this something that can be done?

Comments
Select the whole piece, then use the section filter to only select a certain voice. Then use the properties panel to change the color of the note head/stem/beams.

By the way, I have version 4 loaded. Not sure if that makes a difference.
I am trying this, but it is not happening correctly. I am using Treble Clef 8va bassa for my TT staff. Part 1 bars and stems are black (my choice of color for Part 1). Part 2 bars and stems are blood red. However note heads are not matching those colors. All of my part 1 notes are high B (middle line of staff) and above. They are all displaying as bright red, not blood red. Any notes for part 2 that reach that B or higher also go from blood red to bright red.
My bass clef staff came out the way I wanted, green for part 1 and blue for part 2.
Any ideas?

I trust you are familiar with the concept of musescore highlighting unplayable notes red? What is the actual instrument you are using for the TT staff? It may be that these notes are out of its range. This will not display on a pdf.

No I am not familiar with them. I am using voice for instrument. This is page 1 of the original music. This is a barbershop style of music arrangement. Our parts are labeled top to bottom as Tenor, Lead, Baritone, Bass. I need to remove any restrictions on note ranges.
I didn't have this problem with version 3 that I can remember. I don't do this a lot.

By the way, according to your keyboard shortcut map, Shift R should add a rest. It is doing nothing when I try. I'm forced to click on the rest symbol at the top, and then click on the current beat / part where I am at.

When I look at the PDF, it is correct. But when I am looking at the score within the program, it is different. I took a snip of the screen to show what I mean. Part 1 bass line, measures 4 - 6.

That is the range problem. Ignore it for now.
BTW, what instrument is the bottom part?
If it is bass, that red color is telling you the note is too high to sing.

It is Bass, and as a bass, I can hit that high, just can't stay up there long! LOL. Actually those high notes for Voice 1 are what we call a Baritone part. Barbershop has no instruments, except for voice. Includes tight harmonies. Baritones and Leads (T2) are generally male tenors, T1 are usually basses singing in falsetto, or tenors using head voice. Basses are basses at the bottom, generally.

OK, Let's start again. When I open your "for support" PDF The clefs and staves are mixed up. It doesn't resemble the "what you see" PDF as far as layout goes. I don't see any range problems. We might need your mscz file instead. I can't tell.

Here is a better snip of the staff in question. This is actually for 4 part men (TTBB). T1, T2, B1, B2. B1 generally considered baritone or low tenor. Notice the coloring of the notes for the B1 part. In the last measure, the notes are all middle C or lower with 2 exceptions. Measures 4 & 5 every note is above middle C and show as gray or red.
When I do print to PDF, that goes away and the green note/stem setting prints. As @hamsandwichnow stated, it may be that my range setting is off for what MuseScore considers a bass range. I remember when I set up the initial score, that I left the ranges as default. I seem to remember it offering a Professional singer range. I just tried to find a way to change that setting, since I'm almost done, but I have not had any luck.

I think hamsandwichnow had it correct, you need to set the range to professional singers. I couldn't figure out how to change it once I had everything entered and finished. If someone knows that, it would probably help. Oh well, time for me to shut down. Late on the east coast.

Okay, so use menu item: Edit > Preferences > Note input and uncheck "Color notes outside of usable pitch range".

When entering notes using the keyboard: select a duration, then type 0 (zero) to enter a rest of that duration.

Thank you very much. Your Preferences/Note Input worked. I'll try the rest (0) next time. I'm done with this song except for possible minor corrections.
