Can't paste more than five words
According to the Musescore manual,
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/lyrics#lyrics-from-clipboard
"Repeatedly applying paste will enter successive words of the lyrics. You may need to enter melismas and make other corrections as you go along."
I've tried that, copying several lines from Notepad++ and after Ctrl+L and five Ctrl+V, it stops.
How do I paste the whole text?

This works fine for me, but it could be something specific to your score or the text you are pasting. Please attach your score and the text and say where exactly you are trying to paste it.

Thank you Marc. I was going to attach a demo file until I discovered how to do it - slowly. Press Ctrl+V too quickly and it gives up after a random number of words. One per second seems to work.
My guess is that if Ctrl-V is pressed while the focus is still on the word just entered, the buffer is emptied but nothing of the rest of the text is entered.
