distortion and/or pitch shift effect

Hello everyone,

SHORT VERSION
Is there any way to add a distortion effect so you can have a distorted bass?
Is there any way to shift the pitch of the heavy guitar on "Guitars Vol. 1" to a lower pitch" in MuseScore?
Both of these may be available already yet without me being aware.

I suspect that some developers are reading this. So first of all a big thank you!
I am new to this program and love it a lot. However I am having some problems converting a project to MuseScore.

I´ve downloaded the new "Guitars Vol. 1" package which sounds amazing. The problem is that there seems to be no way of playing any not below C (Standard Tuning -4 halfsteps) on a heavy guitar yet I have some notes that are way lower in my score.

Right now I can think of 2 solutions: Shifting the notes to the bass guitar or shifting the pitch.
Both of these have their problems.
If I use the bass it lacks distortion. If I want to change the pitch I only know how to do it in Audacity which results in lower sound quality (still not bad in my opinion) and a more complicated way to put a track together.
Therefore a plugin/effect fo either pitch shifting and/or distortion would be much appreciated.
Even outside my specific situation it would be very nice to be able to distort the bass sound and other instruments as well within Musescore.
