5 key now behaving like tab key on QWERTY layout laptop keyboard

• Jan 30, 2024 - 11:37

Hi,

Info: OS: macOS 12.6, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.2.1-240230937, revision: d757433

When I press 5 it now highlights different buttons in the following order:
- Palettes
- Workspace: default
- Home
- the toggle note input button
- the score tab
- then back to palettes again.

The behaviour is similar to when I press the tab key, although tab seems to highlight additional buttons as well. I normally use the 5 key to change a note duration to a crotchet. All the other note duration shortcuts that I normally use: 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 are working as normally.

I'm on a MacBook Pro with a qwerty keyboard layout. I've checked keyboard shortcuts in the preferences, have attached screenshot. Tried deleting the enter tab shortcut as that is also set to 5. I saw another forum post about a parenthesis shortcut interfering with 5 but that shortcut appears to be set to shift+9.

I think this started happening after I updated recently, the change didn't seem to be in response to anything that I've done. It just suddenly wasn't working anymore.

Have attached an empty project in case it's useful. Hope I've provided enough info.

I'd be very grateful for a solution.

Thanks :)
