M-Audio Oxygen49 MKV MIDI Keyboard Issues

Hello!
I recently purchased an M-Audio Oxygen49 MKV keyboard and it works great for note input! The only issue is when I want to use the pads and other buttons on the keyboard and map them to do things like play/pause playback, select the note duration, toggle note input mode, etc. From what I found, It seems that the keyboard will either input notes or allow you to map controls, reusing those channels, but it seems to separate itself and work fine in ableton. I've looked everywhere and haven't been able to find anything that I can figure out how do on my own. Has anyone found any solutions or should I give up and buy another keyboard?
