Musescore 4 on Windows 11 - cursor offset - Windows taskbar corruption

• Jan 31, 2024 - 11:05

Version 4.2.0.233521124.

When I run Musescore 4, Windows 11 develops some problems after some time. (I haven't quite figured out the sequence or timing to reproduce the problem.)
- The mouse cursor has to be offset about the height of a button (Play, note duration, etc.) for the hover effect to be applied and the button become clickable.
- Staff note selection or note input has to be offset by the same amount.
- Windows taskbar gets corrupt with some icons disappearing. Applications can't be selected from the taskbar and must be selected using Alt-Tab.
- Windows clock freezes.
- Quitting Musescore and restarting the application solves the problem for a while.
- Fixing Taskbar requires a Windows restart.

Has anyone seen similar behaviour? Is there a fix?

Many thanks.
