Unlisted instruments
In the earliest version of MuseScore that I ever used the instrument menu included "English Horn". When deployed on a score with original (as opposed to blanket concert) pitch the correct key-signature was displayed automatically. With the latest Version I can select "English Horn" in the Mixer as my preferred playback sound from any instrument, but not, as far as I can see, with the automatic adjustment to its key-signature and range that I would wish to see in a final, printed band-part.
Am I misssing something?

Yes, you can apply the English Horn sound to any staff. But if you want the instrument and the proper key, y0u should use Change Instrument from the Text palette.
