Copy/Paste chord symbols?
Hi all,
Is there a way to copy/paste chord symbols in bulk from one section of music to another? I am engraving a lot of Taizé hymns where the verses each have different melodies and words but are over the same harmonies, so have the same chords, so it would save me a lot of time if I could just engrave the chords once and copy/paste!
Thank you!

Regarding copy/pasting chord symbols to other sections of a score, or to other scores"
• I can select a chord symbol, then shift-click another to define a range of chords symbols, even creating a range from the first to the last chord symbol.
• Then I can selected a note where I want to begin the paste. Then simply Paste.
Generally this approach works, though it may depend on the structure of notes in the range to which you paste, or when the paste spills beyond the range of existing measures.
Or: Copy the section with all the chord symbols x times (with R). Hit F6 (exclusion filter): deselect chord symbols, select everything & delete.
@joy664,
I know the type of music you're speaking about, and as Scorster says, copy/paste should "just work".
Have you tried it in a scenario where it doesn't ?
And only slightly related to your question, as you're saying you would save lot of time, just checking : you're entering your chords by keyboard only, right ?
Such as this simple example :
CTRL K
C
TAB
F
TAB
G
TAB
C
?
I'm asking this just because for Taize hymns that should minimize the necessary time.

And to move your cursor in chord entry mode by 1/4 notes instead of measure : CTRL 5
(And the similar CTRL 4, 6, ...)

Yes, although I use the space bar instead of tab. It does minimize the time, but I do a lot of bilingual hymns, so when there are ten verses, and then in two languages, so I have to enter all those chords 20 times... That's when I am hoping copy+paste will help!
Thank you all! I now don't know why it didn't work the first few times I tried it, because it works now! 😂 Thank you for the advice, it got me to try it again and now that will save me a lot of time! :)
