How to delete rests caused when only one note of a double note is deletled.
Piano players can easily play two or three notes at same time but not ukulele player playing a tune. So on a score for piano I reduced each double note to one note and now have all these rests that I can't delete. Actually I could do it in the bass part but not the solo part.

Assuming that the remaining rests are in Voice 1 (since you say you can't delete them): select the measures concerned (or all of them), then "Tools" -> Voices -> Exchange Voice1.2.
All that remains are the rests in Voice 2, which you can delete: right-click on one of them -> Select -> More -> Same voice -> Del

Now I can clean up the ugly mess on my music!
