Trios and quartets

• Mar 18, 2024 - 13:56

I have tried to create a project involving three or four ukuleles. I've managed to do it in the attachment but I want 'ukulele 1', 'ukulele 2' etc. Here they aren't numbered so I must have done something wrong. Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

This is very simple.
First, right click on an existing Ukulele stave, select 'Stave/Part properties' and you will see this:
Stave_Part Properties.png
There you can modify the Part name and the long and short instrument names which are shown on the left of the staves.

There is an other point which I would like to address:
I assume you want to have a normal staff and a tab staff for each ukulele which show the same notes.
If so then it is better to add to each ukulele a linked staff in the instrument dialog.
Press 'i', select the line 'Stave 1' and press 'Add linked staff'. Change the new stave type to tab.

Then you can write notes in the standard or the tab staff and they will also appear in the linked one.
See my attached example.
