creating a triplet of quarter notes
I have been unable to find a way to add 3 quarter notes over 2 beats. I have tried the tuplet icon, and I have experimented with ratio/number, but I can't find the right combo. How do I do this?

Start by selecting a rest note with the duration equal to the total duration of the triplet - in this case a half note. Then divide it into a triplet using keyboard shortcut CTRL+3. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/tuplets
