Toolbar Glitch

Does anyone else have this issue? When I open older .mscz files on the updated musescore sometimes the toolbar symbols become these little black boxes and is basically unusable. It's so annoying. I'm not sure what to do. Is there a fix for this? I'm not finding anyone else with this glitch. I have Macbook air from 2020, this has never been an issue until I updated to the new Musescore.
