Mixer always opens on launch

When I open a file in MuseScore Studio 4.3.0, the mixer window always opens, seemingly by default. Is this (a) a bug, (b) a new feature that CAN be turned off, (c) a new feature that CAN'T be turned off, or (d) an old feature that I've never noticed? I'm hoping it's (a) or (b). If it's (c), it feels unnecessary and is, frankly, kind of annoying.
