Double Barline Where One Hadn't Been
I'm using MS 4.3.1 on a Mac (Sonoma 14.5). My apologies if I'm not using the correct Windows/Linux terminology.
Anyway, if you download the attached file, try to move bar 8 to page 2. I do this by selecting the barline before bar 8 and hitting 'return'.
There is now a double barline at the end of the page 2. It hadn't been there before. It can easily be deleted, but the question remains why it was there, and why moving a bar from one page to another would do this.

With a measure selected, Return does not "move to the next page", it adds a System Break, which may or may not "move to the next page". If you want a measure to explicitly move to the next page, use a Page Break. Both System Break and Page Break are available on the Layout palette. The shortcut for System Break is Return. The shortcut for Page Break is Shift+Return.
That said, I can't replicate the double bar line issue, in your file or in a new one of my own. Sorry!

Sorry, yes. It's a system break. I misspoke, simply because they do similar (but not identical) things when a system takes up a whole page.
Anyway, it's weird that you can't replicate the issue. I'm not sure what to make of that.
