Scores are just files (they have the extension .mscz).
Delete them the same way you delete any file. On Windows for example, select it in the file manager and press Delete.
A) What SteveBlower said.
B) If you want to remove scores from the list on the Home tab, you can click File / Open recent and slide to the end where you will find an option to Clear recent files. If you do not have that option, or if you do not want to remove EVERYTHING from the list, see the instructions in https://musescore.org/en/node/361021. (Somewhat complex, so follow them carefully.)

Then it would seem a reasonable feature request to make that easier to do...
