Extra rests
Why does my score have extra rests? 4/4 time, I input 4 beats of notes, It puts 4 beats of rests in each measure.
I can't find an "erase".

During note entry, be certain that you are using the (default) step time input mode. (You should notice a pen icon to the left of the note input toolbar.)

Possibly you are entering the notes in Voice 2? For a single melody, you should always use Voice 1.
Either notes or rests must exist for Voice 1, and Voice 1 rests cannot be deleted (only hidden - uncheck the Visible property).
