Play All Instruments In Musescore 4
Please let me know when you have added an option to play all instruments when a measure is selected. I have a fairly large 27" monitor and even with canvas settings adjusted it is still very frustrating and time consuming to have to precisely select a note or bar line or whatever small element to get all instruments to play back in Musescore 4.
This is such a massive time suck and slows down my work flow to the point where I am unable to upgrade to Musescore 4 until this option is added.
I'm very surprised at how resistant the development team has been to implementing this rather simple option in one of the updates.
Thanks

Probably not going to happen. How do you propose to have just one staff play?
Selecting one measure on one staff is explicitly the way to tell MuS to play only that staff. You can select several adjacent staves to play all of those instruments. (This allows you to easily play 'all the brass' or 'all the strings'.)
If you want to play all the instruments starting at a particular point, select a note. Then click on the page, but off the score, so that nothing is actually selected. Hit Play and all instruments start playing at the point you had selected.

I believe the OP is saying that, especially in a large score, it is very hard to "select a note" to begin with.

A) I don't think it's ever hard to "select a note" (and yes, I've worked with orchestral scores with lots of instruments), but B) selecting a measure, then deselecting everything, works exactly the same way.

Maybe not hard for you, but it is for the OP.

OP's opinion was that he has problems selecting one individual item. ("it is still very frustrating and time consuming to have to precisely select a note or bar line or whatever small element to get all instruments to play back in Musescore 4.")
My point is that he doesn't have to be precise at all! He doesn't have to select an individual item!
Click on anything roughly at/before the point you want the music to start. Click outside the score (in the margins, in between staves, in between systems, etc.). Click Play. The music starts at the beginning of the selected material ... and plays all instruments, which was OP's stated aim.
The real takeaway is that he needs to select something at that point and then de-select in order to play all instruments.

If I start playback after having (accidentally) selected a measure and I only hear that one instrument, I can click (even as playback progresses) on a blank spot somewhere in the score and all instruments are then heard.
