VST question

Hey there, so, I am just now experimenting with VST instrument plug-ins. The plug-in that I am using has a key switch patch. What I'm trying to do, is engage the legato samples in that plug-in, but whenever I play it back in Muse score, it's like I am using the sustains patch. I know that it depends on whatever plug-in I am using, and I realize that some don't really work, so forgive me if I'm asking about something that doesn't work properly or doesn't work very well. The plug-in that I am using is called Musio by Cinesamples, a very top quality orchestral cloud-based sample library.
