Playback not working

I had this problem about two years ago.
Musescore 3.6.2.548021803
I can not access the playback function, nor hear musical notes as I type them in.

Soundmixer is working properly. This is not a loose usb connection, because I can listen to anything else. Escept Musescore.
This is something-something windows not recognising musescore. However I can not find the thread that addressed this issue in the forum. I fixed the problem back then and since there has been a Windows-Update.

Solution to playback being in the grey and generaly not working :
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound
Playback tab > Speakers-Properties > Advanced tab > uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive controle of this device"

Restart Musescore

Yes, I've answwered myself. Yes, I saved a copy of the fix. Hopefully this can be usefull to others.
