Error
I've been trying to access this file for a while now and I get this error:
Error=XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT ErrorID=13 (0xd) Line number=0
I entered the ms.backup file and it still appears corrupt, I checked my OneDrive backup and same error. Unfortunately, uploading files to musescore does not work for me, so when I try to upload it and try again it sends me the same error.
Please, if anyone has a similar error, let me know. This is a very important file to me.

Corrupt is when there is data but it is unreadable or readable with errors. In you files, there is no musical data.

When saving a file, MuseScore tries to generate a backup of the old version of the file before writing the newest version to your disk. This backup is stored in a
.mscbackup
subfolder within the same folder as where the file is saved. This folder is hidden; to make it visible, do the following:- on macOS, press
Cmd+Shift+.
(dot)- on Windows, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/view-hidden-files-and-folde…
Within this folder, you can hopefully find a backup of your file. However, this backup can't be opened directly. To open it:
- copy it to a different folder
- rename that copy by replacing
mscz~
at the end of the filename withmscz
.Then you should be able to open this copy of the backup in MuseScore.
