Adjusting window size

Somehow, while adjusting the window size (and moving the window around) using the middle icon in the top left hand corner, I managed to place the adjusted window so far to the right of the screen that I can't get a grab on it to bring it back. Now, every time I select the middle adjust icon, the screen moves to this area and I don't know how to reset the window size adjust options. Please help, going slowly mad here.
