Muse Hub requiring admin privs in MacOS

• Aug 13, 2024 - 05:20

Hi all,

I work for a school and have been requested to install MuseScore in our labs. We don't provide admin privs to our students for obvious reasons so I am here asking for help:

  1. Is there a way to install MuseScore WITH MuseHub but have MuseHub run some other way such that students don't have to have admin privs? I noticed in my tests that allowing MuseHub to install the helper for one user makes it available for other users. However, I can't sit and log in to each iMac in the labs to run it once. Has anyone found a way to automate this?

  2. I can install the full MuseScore Studio + Muse Hub in a test iMac, "GET" everything, package it and deploy to other lab iMacs but where do I find the files to package? Will installing only MuseScore Studio + the custom package for the sounds+effects work or does Muse Hub have to still be installed?
