Midi keyboard notes have no sustain

Why is it the midi keyboard input notes have no sustain, the notes are chopped short. The note should sustain like a normal keyboard. What's going on with the developers here, this has been unresolved for a long time let alone answered. this is an essential basic function that should work. 0 out of 10 for customer service, pathetic!
