Ritadando
First off, I'm not sure if this is possible or not, but is it possible to set the ritardando to end at a specific tempo? E.g. 90 = crotchet, 45 = crotchet and so on.

Use a line ritardando. Click the first note to select, then Ctrl+click the last note to add it to the selection. Add rit. from the Tempo palette. Then select the rit. on the score and go to the Properties tab. Click the Playback button and adjust the percentage to get the ending Tempo you want.
