I want only MuseScore but NOT the version that presumes I want to publish or share it with anyone.

• Jan 29, 2025 - 22:28

Suddenly I am stuck with MuseScore Studio. Isn't there some way to subscribe to a use that keeps whatever I do or attempt to do with me on my own computer? I have no interest at all in the unwelcome stuff that keeps coming my way via MuseScore Studio. I just want to build a simple score for myself. Is that still possible? By simply upgrading my subscription when you suggested, I have lost the straightforward utility of MuseScore and been overwhelmed by functions/features and 200,000 MuseScore Studio musicians! MuseScore - yes; MuseScore Studio - no.

Let me know how I can get back to just plain ol' MuseScore and never again risk falling into MuseScore Studio.

Just save it to your computer! You don't need an account at musescore.com, not even a free one!
This applies to any version of Musescore ...

"Let me know how I can get back to just plain ol' MuseScore"

Do the following:
1. Look on musescore.com for your account icon and username (top right).
2.Use the dropdown menu to choose Settings > Notifications
3. Disable all the notification checkboxes.

You do not need any subscription to MuseScore PRO, because the MuseScore Studio notation editor is free and always will be. So next you can do this:
4. Cancel your subscription to MuseScore PRO by sending an email to support@musescore.com

From then onwards you can just use MuseScore Studio on your own computer, without being bombarded by intrusive messages. You will still have a free MuseScore account.
