Bring back the MIDI import options from MuseScore 3!
It was super handy to open a MIDI file and be able to easily configure how it should be quanitized, how many voices it should use, what clef it should use... I miss it a lot. It's the only reason I keep MuseScore 3 alongside MuseScore Studio. Here's a pic of the old import panel that would appear when you drag and drop a MIDI file:

what are you trying to say with this? That it's never happening? That you're working on it? That it's already implemented? Sorry I don't really use GitHub

It simply means that this MIDI import panel no longer exists in Version 4. I miss it terribly myself, and it's also one of the reasons why I'm still using Version 3. That said, there seems to be some hope for Version 5? I'm not sure in what form the panel might return (if it really comes back?), but in any case, in this post (scroll down to "Version 5 and beyond"), there's talk of a flexible MIDI mapping system: https://musescore.org/en/4.5-and-beyond
What exactly does that mean? I don't know.

Thanks for the explanation! And for linking the post. Interesting that it seems to be going in more of a DAW-like direction. Not something I really need as I do most of my work in a DAW anyway (unless I need to do some MIDI writing or editing... I don't really like working in piano roll).
