Trying to add "Noto Music" font to my score
But it's not on the list after I've installed it. However, I do see two fonts that came with Finale, so this proves that external fonts can be used somehow. I just don't know how

MuseScore does not have the ability to add musical symbols fonts or musical text fonts (unless you use my MuseScore 3.7 Evolution and a SMuFL font, see https://github.com/Jojo-Schmitz/MuseScore/wiki/Musescore-3-Evolution-Fe…).
It can only use text fonts (and only in texts, unsurprisingly)

Because that had been added and are built into MuseScore
And that happened because thes are SIL OFL, i.e. free to use
